Gavia AUV Deployment

This week we are out in Delaware Bay conducting AUV operations with our Gavia model AUV and Geoswath sonar. Day produced a beautiful survey, but we are just going through the data now. I'm looking at the engineering data from the fish. Here’s an interesting plot:

The actual deployment began about 17:50 and lasted until about 18:35. However the system was up and operational for some time before and after as we conducted operational pre-deployment checks, transited to the deployment area and downloaded data after deployment. The interesting part is the abrupt doubling of current draw when the Geoswath module was powered on. Something to consider when mission planning.
